Scar Revision

Scar formation is completely unpredictable. Whether it was caused by an accident or surgery, the way a scar develops depends on many things. How your body heals, the type of injury, and a surgeon’s skills can all play a part in how a scar will form.

While no scar can be removed completely, plastic surgeons can often improve the appearance of a scar, making it less obvious. Methods used include injection or application of certain steroid medications or surgical procedures known as scar revisions.
